London — July 1, 2026 — The American Whiskey Association (AWA) and participating member companies were proud to support Ambassador Warren Stephens’ America 250 celebration in London, bringing American whiskey to one of the United States’ most important diplomatic stages during a milestone year for the country.
As America prepares to mark its 250th anniversary, AWA is helping showcase American whiskey at select international events and U.S. diplomatic celebrations around the world. London is an especially important stop in that effort, reflecting the United Kingdom’s role as a critical trade, hospitality, diplomatic and cultural market for America’s native spirit.
At the Ambassador’s residence, AWA and its participating member companies helped bring a taste of America to invited guests through a dedicated American whiskey bar. The AWA bar gave guests the opportunity to experience the range, quality and versatility of American whiskey, from legacy labels to premium and limited expressions that reflect the category’s heritage, craftsmanship and global future.
American whiskey is more than a bottle on a bar. It is a grain-to-glass story of American agriculture, manufacturing, craftsmanship, hospitality, trade and cultural diplomacy. Every pour carries the work of farmers, grain producers, American white oak foresters, barrel makers, distillers, warehouse teams, logistics providers, exporters, restaurants, bars and hospitality professionals.
London is central to that story. As one of the world’s leading centers of diplomacy, commerce, media, hospitality and spirits culture, London provides an important platform to introduce American whiskey to international stakeholders and reinforce the category’s role as a premium, authentic Made in America product. Showcasing American whiskey at this celebration was about more than supporting a single event. It was about elevating the full American whiskey category at a moment where diplomacy, trade, culture and hospitality came together.
AWA’s participation in America 250 celebrations reflects the association’s broader mission to lead, protect and promote American whiskey. These events are not simply tastings. They are opportunities to place American whiskey before diplomatic leaders, trade partners, business leaders, hospitality professionals and international stakeholders at moments where American craftsmanship and commercial opportunity meet.
AWA thanks Ambassador Warren Stephens, the U.S. Embassy London team, participating member companies and all partners who helped bring this celebration to life.
Cheers to America, to American whiskey and to the people and partnerships that carry America’s native spirit around the world.
