American Whiskey Association Brings a Taste of America to U.S. Embassy Berlin America 250 Celebration

Berlin– June 24, 2026— The American Whiskey Association and participating member companies were proud to support the U.S. Embassy Berlin’s America 250 celebration, bringing American whiskey to the global stage as part of a milestone year for the United States.

As America prepares to mark its 250th anniversary, AWA is helping showcase American whiskey at select international events and U.S. diplomatic celebrations around the world. Berlin was an important stop in that effort, reflecting Germany’s role as a key market for American whiskey and as part of the broader European opportunity for America’s native spirit.

At the Berlin celebration, AWA and its members helped bring a taste of America to invited guests through several sponsored bars, including the Embassy’s VIP bar, which featured limited-edition 250 expressions. The activation gave guests an opportunity to experience the range, quality and versatility of American whiskey, from legacy labels to premium expressions that reflect the category’s heritage and future.

American whiskey is more than a bottle on a bar. It is a grain-to-glass story of American agriculture, manufacturing, craftsmanship, hospitality, trade and cultural diplomacy. Every pour carries the work of farmers, grain producers, American white oak foresters, barrel makers, distillers, warehouse teams, logistics providers, exporters, restaurants, bars and hospitality professionals.

Germany is especially important to that story. As one of Europe’s major spirits markets, Germany provides a meaningful opportunity to build awareness, strengthen trade relationships and introduce more consumers and stakeholders to the full American whiskey category. For AWA, showcasing American whiskey in Berlin is about more than celebrating a single event. It is about reinforcing the long-term importance of market access, fair treatment, category recognition and global appreciation for American whiskey.

AWA’s participation in America 250 celebrations reflects the association’s broader mission to lead, protect and promote American whiskey. These events are not simply tastings. They are opportunities to place American whiskey before diplomatic leaders, trade partners, business leaders, hospitality professionals and international stakeholders at moments where craftsmanship, diplomacy and commercial opportunity meet.

AWA thanks the U.S. Embassy Berlin, participating member companies and all partners who helped bring this celebration to life.

Cheers to America, to American whiskey and to the people and partnerships that carry America’s native spirit around the world.
